Personalized Greeting Cards from Heritage Makers

I received my order of greeting cards yesterday - and I am so happy with how they turned out! I had gone ahead and made cards up for most of the events happening over the year - birthdays, mother's day and father's day, as well as a few "just because" cards.

These cards are absolutely beautiful - there really is no other way to describe them. The one at the top of this post is a "Just Because" card - and I love a lot of color, so I really liked how this one turned out. The inside is customized too - and would be such a nice card to receive.

So - I just wanted to make sure that everyone realizes that Heritage Makers is so much more than just storybooks! The cards are beautiful, there are canvas prints you can make, playing cards that are completely personalized (great gift idea!), digital scrapbook pages that you don't have to print off yourself......the possibilities are endless with the incredible amount of art work available, and the easy to use studio for creating your projects.

Contact me today if you are interested in learning more about Heritage Makers - or even if you would like to have me show you some more of the finished projects!

Having So Much Fun!

I have been so busy these past few days putting together some great greeting cards that I am hoping to offer at the open house events we have planned for the next few months. I am also trying to get a couple address books and planners done to be able to show as well - so I am having a great time!

It is pretty easy to spend hours working on these projects and have time just fly by. I honestly could spend all day putting things together. It is so much fun - you can try something and if it doesn't look right, just delete it and look for something else.

And, the artwork that is available in the Premium membership is incredible - really, there is no other word for it. There is just SO much to choose from, and honestly, I find myself becoming totally engrossed in my projects to the point that I forget everything else.

I have already send away for my own cards that I have made for the next few months for people in my life. Birthday cards, Mother's Day, Father's Day - and I am working on some shower and wedding cards for my brothers and their soon-to-be wives.

There are just so many things I want to do - and I am having so much fun! I always heard that it was good to find work that you really enjoyed - and that didn't really feel like work. I never really believed that was possible - but I do now!

Well - I am off to make some more cards!!

In Training!

Well, I haven't had a lot of time to post lately - but I am trying to learn as much as I can about my business through workshops and my upline leaders. I am learning so much as far as being able to understand how to work my back office and how to offer promotions and get people to see how great Heritage Makers is!

The more I learn, the more I am very glad that I took this opportunity to join with a business like this one. It feels so good to belong to a business that I can be proud to promote and one that I know I will personally enjoy the products myself.

I have my first couple of clients signed up now - and they are loving it! They are helping me to spread the word, and I can see how simple these wonderful storybooks are to sell to people. They are something that anyone can enjoy - and they are so unique, and personal, that they are the kind of gift that are timeless.

If you are thinking of joining Heritage Makers, and have some questions you need answered, go ahead an get in touch with me! I will do my best to help you - and hopefully be able to show you the wonderful opportunity.

I have also finished setting up a website just for my own use - it is at www.yourstorybooklife.ca (My main Heritage Makers site is www.YourStorybookLife.com). I will eventually be holding workshops online so that everyone can attend, and offer special deals to those who want to take part in group workshops.

If you would like to get in touch with me - go to the site and send me a message! Or, give me a call - I would love to hear from you!

So Excited!

I just got my consultant kit on Friday and I have spent the weekend looking through everything. If I wasn't excited enough before - I definitely am now!!

The kit contains some really good samples to help showcase the wonderful products with Heritage Makers, and there is a lot of info to help you get your business started right.

I am hoping to have my first workshop or celebration soon - once I get everything organized and ready. I already have a bunch of people who have looked at my book and the sample books who want to order - so that is great.

It is nice to be able to be selling a product to people that they can treasure and which can become great keepsakes for their family. I am a very firm believer in preserving family history and stories - but I just do not have time (or the room in my house!) for traditional scrapbooking. That is why these storybooks are perfect.

And, I am finding that they pretty much sell themselves!

So - I am excited to begin my new business with Heritage Makers, and will hopefully be able to use this blog to record my journey.

My New Journey...

Welcome to my blog dedicated to my new Heritage Makers business! To me, having the chance to create a memory book -(which is what I think of them as!) - for people and times in my life that are important is the best feeling in the world.

But, to be able to maybe make a bit of money by doing it - that is just icing on the cake for me. I don't know how I will be as far as doing parties or promoting at trade shows, because I am a rather shy person, but I think the product pretty much sells itself anyway.

I had been considering joining for months - in fact, had even considered creating my own business using the storybook concept - but Heritage Makers just has so much of what I wanted already, I finally decided to just jump in and see what happens.

After getting set up with a basic account - then trying the premier membership for a month - I created a memory book about my Grandpa. He passed away before I was married, and my girls never got to meet him.

As I worked on the book, they would stop at the computer and look at the pictures and ask questions. I noticed that they were developing a real interest in learning more about him.

When I finished my book and sent it to be published, I thought I would just wait to see how it turned out before making any decisions about becoming a consultant. The book came in less than 2 weeks - which thrilled me!

But, when I saw the book, I started to cry. It was just how I had imagined it - only better! Both my girls spent the day looking at the book and getting us to read it to them. Then, they asked questions about him, and my youngest daughter (she is 3) told me she wished she could have met him.

That was when I realized just how important creating these memory books really are. My other daughter (she is 5) took the book to show and tell yesterday, and was so proud. And, her teacher caught me after school and told me she wants to do one for her dad!

She had read the book to the class - I bet my Grandpa never imagined he would have a story about him read to a kindergarten class! He was just one of those people who never felt they had anything special about them - but now I know that my kids will always feel that he was special - even if they didn't get to meet him.

I am so excited to be a part of this business - and maybe help some other people create a memory book that will give them the same feelings I had when I saw my Grandpa's book.
